My daughter Reagan took lessons from Tyler Huggins for over three years. My daughter loves to play by ear, and previous teachers have tried to squelch that and just focus on having her learn to read music. Tyler was the first teacher who worked on both with her; he did spend time with her on strengthening her sight-reading ability, but also encouraged her natural gift and really brought her playing up to the next level. Since working with Tyler, Reagan has accompanied me on all my singing for church specials, and has recently started accompanying other musicians as well. She’s grown so much in her ability and confidence, and Tyler’s ability to work with her unique skill set is the reason. She loves playing the piano now more than she ever has, and we’ve had so many comments on how her playing has really matured and advanced. We’re so sad to have to say goodbye, but so thankful for the long-term impact of Tyler’s teaching in her life. We highly, highly recommend him as a piano teacher.

We were privileged to have Tyler teach piano to both our son and myself. My son was a beginner and I had already been playing piano for a number of years. Tyler is a highly skilled, professional musician as well as an excellent teacher. He is very patient and he loves the challenge of helping his students understand and learn music according to their individual learning styles. Our own son excelled in many ways because of Tyler’s teaching. I myself learned more from Tyler in the few years I had lessons from him than from all previous teachers in years past combined. The time we had to learn from Tyler’s teaching was valuable and we highly recommend him.

Tyler Huggins has been teaching piano to my wife and our two boys for a year and a half. We have a twelve year old autistic son who needed his own teaching style which Tyler immediately found and tailored it to fit Jaiden perfectly Tyler also found a teaching style perfect for Jacob our 15 year old who has medical issues that limit his ability for a lot of outside activities, My wife and I prayed for a long time for God to bring us the right piano teacher for our situation. God brought us Tyler, who is an exceptionally talented piano teacher but has become much more than that to all of us. Our boys look forward to lesson day, not just for the piano lessons, but to see and talk to their friend about the week. Tyler Huggins is gifted by God not only in his piano playing and teaching but in his ability to connect with his students on a personal level and his genuine love for his students which makes it a joy to be taught by him.
